Mixed-Media Illustration & Installation
February-March 2019

Hopeful illustration showcasing the power of youth, imagination, and determination for a better world. The youth is depicted in the centre filled with life, the word chai on their chest and bringing anarchy to a rigid bureaucratic environment.

The environment is based on the memory of a 12th grade field trip BC legislature which, to the best of my knowledge, the building occupies the territory of the many nations of the Lekwungen, WSÁNEĆ, and Nuu-chah-nulth while the governmental body itself enforces and upholds colonial law throughout so-called BC. Please read more specifically on a page put together through UVic listing the websites of each nation.

This illustration was created for Rozita Moini Shirazi’s Illustration course at ECUAD
